Old ovaltine?!

Question: I have a can of the chocolate ovaltine, for maybe about about a year, but there is no expiration date on the can. Does anyone know about how long those chocolate powders are good for. It didn't smell weird or anything. Please help. Thanks!

I wouldn't use it because these products can get wormy.

it is still good, powder does not decay and it stays fresh

3-5 yrs sealed 6mo open

Its fine. Its just sugar, malt powered and cocoa. If there are no bugs in it, you're good to go....what could go wrong, whats the worst that could happen?

If it does not have bugs in it and the can was sealed properly it should still be safe. I love ovaltine but after drinking the jar full (over a month or so) my teeth hurt, so I don't buy it anymore. The only thing is it may have a stale flavor, especially if your region gets hot over the summer. I read somewhere something to the effect that chocolate was found by archaeologists in a Mayan Pyramid and it was still intact and thought to be hundreds of years old.

just drink it or buy some new f***ing ovalitne
