Question: I really love to cook and since I could remember I always pictured myself having my own talk show of some sort. So I was wondering how do you go about becoming a chef with your own show, something like Rachel ray. If anybody knows anything about this, that would be great!

People who make it on Food TV are already known for their innovative cooking techniques where they worked before.

Read biographies of people you admire. I don't think Ray was ever a bone fide chef. I think she was a marketing person for a company specializing in some sort of food item.

You have to put yourself out there by doing catering jobs or other ways of cooking for others.
