Whats a good nutritional and tasty frozen dinner?!

Question: I have to buy groceries for an ederly neighbor. I want to buy her some frozen dinners that are tasty yet healthy. I don't want to waste her money. She really likes pasta dishes !! I buy her soup a lot but I think she is getting tired of the same old soup. I do bring her home cooked meals. Just not everyday.

Healthy choice has some good dinners. Marie Calender has bigger meals though. :)

HEALTHY CHOICE has some good ones. They usually have coupons for them in the Sunday Newspaper. They would probably have food that is more her style; pot roast and potatoes, beef stew and stuff like that. Marie Callendar has some great pot pies. That's a great thing to do for her, good for you.

My husband and I keep frozen dinners on hand all the time. I am the frozen dinners queen. :o)

All of Stouffer's dinners are delicious and our first choice.
Marie Calendar's.
Michael Angelo's (Italian and out of this world good).
Boston Market's.

I don't know if you have the time for this, but you could make and freeze homemade meals. That would be a lot healthier. Frozen meals tend to have a lot of sodium - even the the ones that state "less sodium".

Just a thought.

I really like the pasta dishes from Seeds of Change. You can get them at upscale grocers like Whole Foods or Wild Oats. They're pretty tasty, especially considering the fact that they're frozen dinners, and they're reasonably priced. They also contain a lot of nutritious ingredients and they don't have all the bad ingredients you find in a lot of other frozen entrees.

Amy's frozen pastas are good, too, and they're a little less expensive.

Banquet TV Dinners where if you buy 10, you get each for a buck! I buy all types of types like meatloaf, Chinese Chicken and Rice, Noodles with corn and chocolate pudding, spegette and meatballs, turkey with dressing and even hotdog and beans, and I find that when I get those and have them for lunch and dinner, that I get regular and can empty my colon easier and sometimes I can combined the dinners to make a nice compliment plus add a tasty green salad with dressing and croutons with a big glass of fruit juice! It works and I find Banquet TV dinners are the best for nutrition and tasty flavor! If you want to pay more then go up a notch with Marie Callenders dinners at 3 for 10 bucks... same deal, but bigger portions. I love the chocolate pudding in the Banquet noodle and corn dinner! Good luck.

I don't think I have ever heard of a tasty frozen dinner
