I made a casserole with beef in it about four days ago... I didn't freeze it.... Would it still be good today!

Question: Or should I throw the rest out?

Answers: Or should I throw the rest out?

As long as it has been in the fridge this whole time then I'd most likely eat it. Just smell it, if it smells funny then don't. If it's been on your counter for the past four days, then definitely throw it out.

if it's been in the fridge it's perfectly good.

beef is usually good for 4-5 days....so id be careful..

It should be just fine as long as it stayed cold and in the frig.

yes as long as its been in the fridge this entire time meat should keep about 5-7 days

I'd take it safe and trash it.

I wouldn't chance it lol, chuck it out.

kept in the reefer, today would be about the last day, on the counter-throw out

Just Throw The Rest Out To Be On The Safe Side So No One Gets Sick!

As long as it's been refrigerated it will be fine.

It's fine....my general rule of thumb is everything I make will stay in the fridge for 1 week unless visibly gone bad :) I'm 38 and have never gotten sick from bad food so I'm guessing my rule isn't bad

It's fine as long as it's been in the fridge. I keep mine colder than most, things usually are good for a week. Unless it's fish, then only one or 2 days.

It should be, but I wouldn't trust it after today. I don't like the "about" in the question though. If you are unsure about how long it has been in there, then toss it. But so long as it has been covered and the beef was cooked well then you should be okay. Also it helps if your fridge is kept really cold..

I would throw it out.

I wouldn't chance it, throw it away to be on the safe side

after 3 days toss it. I cook for a living trust me.

It's fine.
Assuming you refridgerated it within 2 or 3 hours after cooking it.
According to the USDA - 4 days is fine. Source below.

if in doubt
throw it out
a motto i also adhere to

I would say it is fine but borderline. It would need to have been cooled rapidly and refrigerated quite soon after cooking (within two hours). The fridge must be at 5C or lower. You must reheat it thoroughly. If it doesn't taste right, sling it, if not, enjoy!

As long as the casserole was refrigerated properly, and if you reheat it to 150 degrees before you eat it. It should be safe to eat for 10 days.

I would say reheat it slowly to 150 - adding a bit more water if needed.

In medieval times they had a stew called pottage. Basically, they kept adding to it, and taking from it - for days and days at a time.

As long as it went in your fridge soon in the first place, and is reheated properly, 4 days is fine with beef.
2 days with poultry or fish is what I normally do.

If kept in fridge it SHOULD be alright. However, a maxim of (good) chefs is...IF IN DOUBT THROW IT OUT.

you should be grateful, beef is made to last ..no matter how long you leave it out it will never go bad

Oh yea if its been refridgerated your totally going to be able to eat it. Its if it was out for a few hrs after baking it, then putting it in the fridge you would have to worry about bacteria forming. So go ahead, enjoy the casserole and heres something to remember, 4 days after cooking still good to eat, 6 days after cooking throw away and make new. Or when in doubt Toss it OUT. The first one is from my mom the second one is from my professors in Culinary College

id chuck it.

what a waste of a cows pain, fear, and death.

i think it is still good!
