Is there a difference betwen sugarsnaps and monchto (spelled it wrong!)?!

Question: monvhto should be pronounced more like monchetuu

Answers: monvhto should be pronounced more like monchetuu

Close enough for me. I read all those petty little answers. They are both types of peas. Peas are my favorite vegatables. They are both delicious and that is all that matters. Good question, you deserve a star and you always get one!!!!!
You'll make someone the best husband one day soon!!!!

Yes. Mange Tout (literally "eat all") is just young peas in a pod, eaten before the peas are mature and the pod has gone all hard and inedible.
Sugar Snaps are a completely different plant, though related to the pea plant, and can be eaten at any stage of development.

It's mange-tout (pronounced monge-too) and mange-tout and sugarsnap peas are the same. Just depends on where you're from.

Same plant, different varieties. A bit like nectarines and peaches.

Mange Tout are young pea pods with no definable pea inside, Sugar-snap are also young pods but with immature peas. Both are cooked and eaten whole and are delicious

Sugarsnap peas are fatter and mange tout is flat ! I think they taste different but both are nice :)
