Fish are not considered meat by the Catholics. The shrimp is a crustacean, and would probably fall into that category. Feel free to dine on shrimp on Fridays during lent.

And vegans and vegetarians reading this, just because YOU consider it a meat, doesn't mean the Catholic church does. Completely different thing. Plus, humans are omnivores, whether we evolved that way or were created as such (whatever you believe), so stop snubbing those who enjoy a bit of animal flesh in a healthy diet.

no it's not considered as a meat

Seafood (fish, shrimp, clams, etc.) are good for Friday's!

Shrimp is not a meat. I am Catholic too. They are a shellfish. They are a safe Friday food.

Nope. Seafood isn't considered a meat, to Catholics anyways. However, other people, like vegetarians, consider it a meat. Basically, you're good.

No its seafood silly! PIG OUT!!

That would be a good question for your pastor.
