Why does reheated pizza in the microwave go soft?!
Answers: If you reheat it in the oven it stays crunchy and nice, so i wonder, why do microwaves make pizza soggy?
the real answer, and even if you choose somebody else for best answer, my answer is still the correct one.
the oven heats food from the outside.
microwaves heat food from the inside out, they are are specifically designed to heat up water molecules. the water turns into steam and has to escape. but the steam gets trapped in the food thus turning it soggy.
The moisture gets trapped under the crust. Also the oil they use in the pans can make the crust soggy. It's really good and crispy heated in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Yeah this happens all the time with the Chicago town pizza's, so much better in the oven, but 3mins in the microwave is genius! I usually let it cook in the microwave for most of its time, then turn the temperature right up so that it dries the pizza out a bit, and it comes out great!
Hope this helps!
Well if you just leave out in the sun for about 3 days that won't happen. It will be done just about the way it should be and not soft at all. By then the birds and squirrels will have helped enough to make it almost completly disappear.
because it was made soft when you heated it so it made it softer than it was
because it gets a little icy in the freezer
same reason why ice melts into water when its in heat basically
Any yeasted product will do that.
Put it into a covered pan and heat on the stove;
for breakfast, with a fried egg on top!
