What is the difference between a Range and an Aga?!

Question: I'm buying a house with a 'cornish range' but I've seen Agas aswell - whats the difference.

Aga is tops heat wise.

It's all down to choice, - and how much you enjoy going to the local pub - during conversation dropping in the occasional "My stewpot is cooking nicely in the AGA"

Good luck in your new home and I "envy" your new Cornish nest, - when I think of places like Cornwall and Devon -I always think -"why do we crave passports"?.................xxxxxx

No difference, although Aga is generally more recent

The only difference between the two is that Aga is a "prettier" version and it throws off A LOT more heat. Unless you plan to have the best venting system or a very good air conditioning system I say, stay with a range....Vikings are gorgeous!

Yes you're right, Aga is the name of a company famous for making tradional range cookers, they mean the same type of cooker but they obviously vary from each brand

"Range" is a TYPE of large cooker.
"Aga" is a MANUFACTURER of a range cooker
