Where are the best oysters in the world found?!

Question: I'm curious as to whether any general consensus exists among the world's culinary experts, but feel free to pipe in with your personal favorites too.

You'll never get a definitive answer to this. Everybody has their favorites.........I've bought and eaten raw oysters from Prince Edward Island Canada----------In Indiana!?-------And in South Carolina............PEI wins, hands down.
A cold water fish is usually better than a warm water fish, so I can't see why the same rule wouldn't hold for oysters.
Now the best oysters I've ever had COOKED and flavored was in the Florida panhandle.....They do a great thing there with garlic salt, butter and parmesan cheese and a little lemon........Hard to beat the Gulf of Mexico when it comes to shrimp and oysters.

I am no culinary expert, but I know what I like and the best oysters I have ever eaten come from around Venice, Louisianna. The ones they get down around Gretna and Houma are pretty good, as well. These are what they serve in the famous Oyster bars on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, home to some of the best food in America. Les Bon Temps Roule!

I got an order from a restaurant in Grand Rapids, consist of four different kinds, They were all good.. All I know is , "you only eat oster's in the months that end in ber, and aury"

I don't know it's the best in the world, but for my money, the best oysters I ever ate were at Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Straight off the half-shell, let em' slide right down your throat, and a Corona to chase them down!

Heaven.

Well according to best culinary expert, they would suggesing the oyster comes from South Africa, as we know that most of the best sea food comes from there include abalone and the delicious shark fin. So it would be better for you to indulge it if you can afford it, as we know that the best we must pay for it price to get it.

Carolina coast, Cape Fear region!!!!!

i would have to say the best oysters i have eatin are from the carribean like around jamaica!!! they were awesome::DDD
