nope we're fresh out but we'll be going shopping soon and we don't buy floured tortillas because of my celiac we buy corn tortillas and corn tacos shells.i use corn tortillas to make home made pizza and chicken and cheese wraps and i use corn taco shells for tacos ofcourse!
I have corn and flour tortillas in the refrigerator and hard taco shells in the pantry. I also keep the supplies on hand to make fresh Indian Fry Bread for Indian Tacos:
2 c. unsifted flour
2 rounded tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp shortening
1-1/2 c. canned milk
Hot oil frying (I use Crisco in a deep skillet)
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add shortening and work with hands until crumbly. Add enough milk to make a soft dough. Turn out on floured board and knead lightly using as little additional flour as possible. Pinch off a ball of dough (about the size of a golf ball) big enough to make a 9-inch flat cake -- pat out with hands until dough is round and flat, about 1/4 inch thick. Poke a hole in the middle of the dough round and deep fry in hot oil.
Turn only once, frying abuot 1-1/2 minutes on each side.
Drain on paper towels.
You can then fold the fry breads and fill them with the same items you would use for tacos. They make huge tacos and generally one is a meal.
You can also sprinkle the fresh, hot fry breads with sugar and cinnamon and they make a great sweet.
same answer as you!!
