My water tastes funny, but...?!

Question: .. only in my room. if i leave a glass of water out for 20 mins in any room of the house, its fine. once i bring it into my room it tastes weird after a few minutes. any ideas why?

its not the water. you are smelling something in your room and its throwing off your senses. maybe time to clean it up?

Something in the room is getting into the water-do you maybe have some kind of potpourri or diffuser in there? Things you smell are actually in the air in minuscule particles, and water will absorb them.

have you got anything in your room with a strong odour that might permeate the water?
