Prepackaged sliced salami tastes funny?!

Question: I bought some packaged sliced genoa salami a couple weeks ago for sandwiches. Five days ago I made myself a sandwich but didn't end up taking it to school with me. Kept it in the fridge and took it to school today but the salami has a strange taste that I'm not sure I like. Is it still safe to eat? I have ham and cheese on it as well; I was thinking about just taking the salami off.

What is the date on the package of salami? If it is passed that date then throw it out since it doesn't taste good. I would also throw out the sandwich that the salami is on, now you have contaminated that meat as well.

How long are you gunna wait to eat your sandwich?

t may have gone rancid not being refrigerated for so long and then thrown into the fridge and then unrefrigerated so long again waiting on lunch. Just toss it....better safe than sorry.

throw it all away,,,
