Why don't Chip shops deliver?!
Sometimes I fancy some Chips but can't be arsed to walk down and get them.
Answers: How comes my local Chinese, Kebab, Pizza, and Indian takeaways deliver to my house but the Fish and Chip shop doesn't?
Sometimes I fancy some Chips but can't be arsed to walk down and get them.
I thought the exact same thing so I asked my local chippy and they said it was because they couldn't keep it hot, and it goes soggy in transit.
they haven't got enough staff, and anyway the walk will do you good
When I was last in England the chip shop did deliver,
I guess that sometimes we all just want them to deliver to us.

I know a chip shop that delivers but you have to spend over ￡7. Not possible in a chippy
You may need to lose some weight....that's why chippies dont deliver...they know how fattening chips are and they care about you....
...They can't, especially when the "chips are down."

well the chip shops i order from do but i usualy walk if ur gna eat chips and put on weight why not walk to get the food so u dnt put on as much lol

It's got to do with tradition.....Fish and Chips are the oldest and most liked British dish......In the oldern days, there weren't any deliverymen.......so chip shops being traditional want to keep that traditional feeling....most chip shops even try to have the old signs above the shop, to give it the traditional feel......Just like pubs, canalboat, road haulage trucks,etc.etc
Some deliver, I guess it just depends on where you live.
Not worth the price of fish and chips. Costs money to transport, in terms of fuel and wages!
One of the local housing schemes near to where i live have a mobile fish & chip van that just sits on the street for about 1/2 hour then moves on to next stop and sit's there for a while as your local chippy when they will do this for you and they can sit out side your house all night.
