Question about chefs?!

Question: Are they really fat or is that just a stereotype because they make food?

Answers: Are they really fat or is that just a stereotype because they make food?

Well I've been a chef for the past 8 years and I'm in great shape. It's like any other job, I've seen guys in construction jobs, that you would think do calorie burning work all day long, but are hugely overweight!

Most chef's are not fat- its hard enough moving around a busy kitchen for 8-14 hrs a day but add 20-? lbs forget it!

There is a saying, "Never trust a skinny chef."

A good chef never goes home hungry.

i've never met a truly good chef that was skinny , always had a few xtra pounds from all that good food . the young chefs don't count , they have not been around long enough for me to call them " truly good chefs "

Not True - I have worked in a number of kitchens and yes- there were a few rotund gentlemen traveling about HOWEVER there were alot ot trim excellent Chefs as well !
