What's so special about caviar? It's gross!?!

Question: This is supposed to be a classy treat? LOL. I'm sorry but I don't get it!

Is this supposed to be an acquired taste?

Does it have ANY health benefits?

You're eating fish eggs.

GROSS.

I love caviar with crackers and butter....If I had the money I will eat it everyday....and You are right ...it is an acquired taste. you either love it or hate it

The Price.
I think it's an acquired taste.

ever eat chicken eggs? merely how you look at it,,,,,taste was ok but on my budget ,i would never buy it

It's the difficulty of getting it that made it a pricey food... hmm since it's from fish, maybe the fatty acids you get from it are one of the health benefits

well in some countries fresh monkey brain is a delacasy.. i'll take caviar anyday.

Nothing is special about caviar but if you are a millionaire you can eat it everyday at breakfast.

If you can get past the idea of eating fish eggs and actually appreciate it for its taste, it's actually quite good. They're used to provide pockets of sweetness in food. For example, salmon caviar goes great with raw quail egg, as the egg is oily and rich, while the caviar is light and sweet.

i am so with you! i don't find fish eggs appetizing lol. no health benefits or pleasure at all haha. also in france (same place) they eat snails! EWW! lol.
