Answers: I love beef but I have a real hard time seeing how people treat animals, I don't think I want to be part of this cruelty anymore.

Its not even the slaughtering, it's also they're "quality" of life there given. Start out slow. Vegetarian first, when you et the hang of it cut out more. I found it incredibly easy. I still crave meat every so often, but not enough to ever consider having it.
oh ewwwwwwwww
I'm not. I've known how cows going to slaughter are treated.
You use the term vegan so lightly. That may be a life changing step! You won't be able to eat butter, cheese, dairy, eggs, fish, gelatin, white sugar, honey, ect... as a vegan. I've been a vegetarian since I was 9, as a vegetarian you can give up beef and not contribute to animal cruelty without giving up all your culinary pleasures.
Being vegan isn't all opressive, as long as you are educated and interested in finding all the delicious non-meat/dairy foods available to eat and cook with than you'll be fine! My roomate is vegan, and when we grocery shop she has to read the label of EVERYTHING, the tiniest bit of something makes it go back.
Good luck to you on your new culinary lifestyle! So many people have said they wanna do something about this, mainly stop eating meat, but they can't give up. I have a friend who went 'vegan' for TWO days! Stick with it!!
I never gonna give up meat.
I do however hunt for most of our meat and if I buy beef I get it from a local farmer and its guaranteed healthy with no hormones, or any of that crap they use in grocery store beef.
We do not eat beef at home. My husband hunts and we eat deer instead of beef. We also raise our own pigs and chickens. It is much healthier; we don't have to worry about all the sterioids and hormones they pump into the animals.
We take excellent care of all our animals.
Nope. Cows're good eatin.
No-I love meat, but it's sad to know what they go through. So I just don't watch it...
