I am an employee at a major U.S. ice cream plant, and to answer your question, NO we do not put pig fat in any of our ice cream, and I seriously doubt that any of our competitors do either. The fat in the ice cream comes from the cream. An additional amount of fat will also be in flavors that contain peanut butter, nuts, chocolate ribbon or candies, or cookies to name a few.

lol, how do you know what pig fat tastes like?

yes, ice cream has a lot of fat in it. some animal-based too. butter is based on animal fat.

mcdonalds soft serves might have pig fat. they probably have all sorts of stuff. ><

They used to yes...
Trans fats are animal fats

but in Australia, Ice cream makers are no longer allowed to use animal fats in it...

i highly doubt it. people often exaggerate a bit too much with these things.

if so....I guess i love pig fat!

Pig fat is commonly known as lard. Read the ingredients on the label for your favorite ice cream. It will tell you what type of fat was used...animal fat, vegetable fat, or butterfat (from cream or milk). My ice cream better be made with butterfat instead of lard, or I'd call it ice pig. LOL
