How do I get rid of an old knife set?!

Question: Is there somewhere I should take it

Should each knife be wrapped up to protect the garbage man, or should the set be donated? Any suggestions..It's still a half decent set, that cuts pretty well. Nothing missing, my hubby just got a replacement set recently. So, we don't know what to do with the old one.

take them to your local thrift store or consignment shop. Are they the kind in a ***** block set?

When knives come new they are all wrapped individually with a little piece of cardboard or heavy stock paper. Perhaps you can wrap them in the same manner.

Thank you for thinking about the safety of others, not many would do that.

ebay?

hey why dont you just donate them but make sure to be very carefull when donating them some body could get stabbed accidentaly! this is all i suggest hope this helps!

I would not place sharp metal objects in the garbage - even wrapped, they will cut through the bag. And I wouldn't just leave it on the street - you don't want the police at your door because your fingerprints have been found on a weapon that has been used in a mugging or such like.

Better to offer it to a friend or just donate it to a charity shop,

Ask family or neighbors if they would come in use.

If you don't have any interest in selling it but it on http://www.freecycle.org/

It's a recycle group for things that are still useful but not needed any more. If not I would wrap it up really good like you said to protect the trash guy. Maybe use the packaging that the new one came in.

Wrap each knife in newspaper individually.
Then all in one bundle.

Take to the charity shop. xxx

A funny thing to do would be to drive out to the country some night, because mailboxes are all at the side of the road. So just stop and put a knife in mailboxes. Imagine how happy people would be to get mail expecting a bill, and instead, they get a free knife!

You can take them in to an iron mongers or some thing like that and they can dispose of them safely

Drop one off on a school playground.

Another at a local park.

Use one to cut a bloody piece of steak, don't wash it. Throw it in a trash can on a busy street so it is easily seen... find a good vantage point and watch the show! (you'll be amazed how many Police cars show up for 1 bloody knife in a trash can)

Use the rest for knife throwing practice... you never know when you will need to throw a knife in self defense.

use the knives as a marker in your garden as I always forget where I planted seeds!
