Hershey Almonds Chocolate Candy Bar, EXP: January & February 2008.?!

Question: I have the Hershey bars with Almonds in them for awhile, their EXP date: January and February of this years, 2008. I will go on my vacation beginning of March, 2008. Will I and others be okay if we ate them? Keep in mind that I packed them in the luggage along with clothes and other things. Will the chocolates survived and still edible after landed? Will we get sick if we ate them? I am not sure if the date on the back of the bars are "Sell By" date, "EXP" date or "Best Before" date. Your inputs are much appreciated, thanks guys and gals in advance.

Chocolate really doesn't spoil. It may have a whitish hue to them if they were exposed to different temperatures.

Nuts on the otherhand, do spoil. It's the natural oil in them. I would go ahead and eat one. If the nuts are bad, they'll taste bad, but you won't get sick. If the almonds taste ok..then they are fine to eat. Why throw away chocolate..isn't that a mortal sin, or something? LOL

it will be ok but u just need to take them on the plan with u dont put them to go threw luggage and put under the plan they will melt and not only that they will get all smashed and nasty...

One or two months won't make a huge difference..they should be fine...it won't automatically go bad on that date...it's usually fine for up to 6 months after that date...
