Answers: good job i was eating it at home and not out very embarrasing

It's not possible, the same goes for McDonalds apple pies, no matter how hard you try and suck out the filling the other side explodes and dollops hot apple on your legs.

Lick the edges first

WTF is an ice slice? Do you mean a vanilla slice? If so, just take the top off. Then the custard doesn't do all over the place.

dont try, have a hankie ready

Take the top off

I just remove the top from anything like that and eat them seperate. if you are eating in a restaurant, use a cake fork.

I don't know what an ice slice or a vanilla slice is... so unfortunately I couldn't tell you how to eat one...

eat the custard first

Lick the custard from around the edges as you go along.

some supermarkets sell trays of mini mouthful sized ones. you can pop the whole thing in with no mess. delicious!

An impossible job, but I recommend to eat it over a plate to avoid a mess.

The other thing you can do is halving it by taking the top, with half the custard on it, so you end with 2 equal pieces of pastry with custard on it, then it should be easy to eat.

very carefully

i take off the top, then put it underneath, so each bite gets the whole lot of whats intended but you bite through the custard, rather than squishing it.
