Does chewing gum lose it's taste?!


Question: someone told me chewing gum doesnt really lose its taste it's just you get used to the flavour, is this true?

yes it does lose its taste after a while because gum has sugar that makes it tasty but after you chew it for a while then then the sugar gets chewed up and that's why it loses taste. And why when you chew gum and drink water it loses its tast.

I think it loses it's taste.

Saliva washes the flavor out of the gum and you swallow it. Therefore the taste diminishes with time.

no that's not true. If you have ever chewed ABC (already been chewed) gum, you would know.

I have noticed that all the different gums I have tried, they
all seem to lose their flavor--some sooner than others.
