What foods and drinks have Phenylalanine in them?!

Question: Quite a few, like gum, fake sugars, and diet sodas. However, phenylalanine is only dangerous to your health if you are born with a certain enzyme disorder in which your body can't process phenylalanine. If this is the case, the FDA requires products that contain phenylalanine to put a warning label somewhere on the package, so be sure to look.

most foods the government wants to limit the population

Most products that are sugar-free contain phenylalanine, including, diet sodas, sugar-free gums and candies, splenda, etc.

If you are a sensitive, you must check the label to be sure. Most times I have noticed that they will have an "attention" to those people somewhere on the label.
