Instant coffee vs. coffee maker coffee?!

Question: I actually find that the instant tastes better.. What are the reasons people prefer coffee maker coffee over instant? In what ways is it necessarily better?
.. especially that instant coffee is far less of a hassel with coffee filters and cleaning and such..

I like instant coffee too (I'm partial to Folgers and Trader Joe's) simply because it's uncomplicated to make when I first get up in the morning. As for the real coffee, the stuff you have to make in a coffee maker, I think the smell alone of coffee boiling is enough of an argument. But also, I believe the taste is more complex, and there is a much wider variety of flavors and roasts available for regular coffee. And of course, regular coffee is probably more responsible because you can get it in organic, shade-grown and fair-trade.

No comparison. Plus filter also filters out some of the bad stuff in coffee. You can always get a single serve Melita or get those ground coffee packets that go in place of filter and ground coffee. Just toss after use. Or better, bury the old ones with egg shells in the yard. Makes great soil. PLUS you're not adding to the land fill. I also believe there's more caffeine in the instant plus people tend to use more coffee which really raises the caffeine.
