Just curious because i have never had a meal cooked for me.
gosh blinkin ages ago does not happen often enough
Valentines day and it was perfect.
Last week! And it's very sad that no one has ever cooked for you :-(
Had dinner at my mum's house on Sunday
No body cooks me a meal as I've been cooking for 30 years and they all think that I wouldn't like it and probably criticise it, so they take me out for dinner instead. I don't mind as I actually like going out for dinner.
err ... hmmm.... I can not remember prolly about 10 years ago
I'm the main cook, but my partner has a couple of dishes he likes to make; he fixed us mushroom risotto on Sunday and it was lovely!
il give you my answer. i am not the main cook, i loathe cooking, i havent got the time i work 8.30am till 9pm 6 days a week so my husband always cooks. he works 9-5 so its only fair, infact my hubby does most of the housework to. i give him a break though as we go out for a meal every monday (we are both off) have a takeout on a friday if we arent going ou clubbing or anything and if im off on a saturday (prob 1x per month) i cook a big breakfast. its important that he knows i apreciatecoming home to a homecooked dinner every night.
Husband is cooking me steak, jacket potatoes, and mushrooms tonight. I shall do a side salad and prepare some strawbs.
He doesn't cook very often, maybe a couple of times a year and that's because he fancies something to eat and cooking it himself is a sure way of getting it.
Last saturday night nanny me ol man was lookin' somethin', nxt time i'll go out and get you to babysit then i'll bring you a takeaway that's kinda the same.
mmmm..? occasionally if im really busy or unwell hubby will do beans on toast - does that count?
Well, apart from the odd restaurant meal, it is a long time. When I think about it, I went to my daughter's for a buffet meal on Christmas Eve 2007. I am going to her again this Sunday, for a Mother's Day meal. It is really sad if you have never had a meal cooked for you.
Last night in fact. My husband grilled fish and steamed veggies for me and had it ready when I got home from work. He had a migraine and stayed home all day.
Usually, it is a team effort in our house. It's just the two of us for now, and we really enjoy spending time together creating things in the kitchen.
Nanny Ogg, I would break my rule of being a pampered pet and cook for you. I eat things cooked for me all the time. Sometimes I worry about the contents, other times I think about the hygiene of the cook or waitress. Most times I love the food and other times I send it back never to return to the premises. It's a lottery and you're probably better at cooking the food you love than a restaurant.
I can do hot banana pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla icecream?
Sat morning. My husband surprised me, because I have just completed chemo and got a clean bone marrow report.
ya hoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! :)))))))
sunday lunch at my mums.
In my own home/apartments etc.
Not since 1982.
Me neither, Nanny Ogg... Not "normally", ever since my Mum died. Not by fellow housemates or partner`s children/family, except when ill... Then was given such strange fare, it was expedient to Get Well damned fast!!! LOL!
when I came out of hospital I couldn`t do anything, my husband made the meals, not the same as restaurants but tasty, he did his best
I cooked for 5 guests tonight............. And not so much as a kiss,,, sob sob.
