Answers: what are some popular foods in france like what do they eat most often besides escargot caviar and frog legs

When I was in Paris, I saw a bakery on every block and a cheese or meat store on every other. In the evening when people are walking home from work, pretty much everyone has a baquette of fresh bread in their bag. Fresh veg/fruit stores are also ubiquitous.

Breakfast is usually yogurt and croissant. Plain croissants with jam or chocolate filled croissants. Hmm..flaky and delicious.

When I ate in French restaurants, they usually started you off with fresh bread, cheese and wine, the main course would be of baked chicken, rabbit stew, a fish dish, or quiche. Pomme frites, what we call french fries, were a popular side dish. Only their fried potatoes are light and airy and need no catsup.

Dessert is usually a small and beautifully served pastry like a eclair, profiterole, or other heavenly concoction. Bon Appetit!

french toast and french fries! although ive heard they dont actually have french toast in france! isnt that werid!!

A traditional French breakfast would consist of Either French Bread or Croissants with Jam (no butter) sided with a Bowl of either hot or cold drinking chocolate (yes the drink it from a bowl!!!)

On a day to day basis though, they would tend to eat a bowl of cereal or muesli with yoghurt.

A traditional lunch would be a selection of cold meats, pate and cheese with some crunchy fresh bread and a big salad washed down with a glass of red wine.

Evening meals are quite dependant on location. In the Alpine regions everything is very cheese and potato based. A more typical meal would be Duck a l'orange or Beouf Bourguignon.

You would be suprised how much the French have influenced world food. Any meat served with a sauce could arguably be influenced from French cuisine.

Although Snails and Frogs Legs are readily available all over France, they are not something that would be eaten on a regular basis
