Answers: If i wanted lemon in my water i would have ordered lemonade!

It's supposed to make it fancy. And if the water tastes a little funny, then customer won't know. But I'm with you, yuck!!

becaause lemonade is sweet and some people like a lil bit of lemon

to give it a taste

to give the plain water some taste! XD

It's mostly for decoration but some people like the taste of it. In my opinion, it tastes like metal.

for the taste
the amount that they put in you wouldnt even taste it ;-)

Because water has no taste so they add a little sourness to the water

give it some taste

To hide the taste of chemically treated city water.

So you won't taste the chlorine.

well the lemon does a few things. it adds some taste, better appearance, makes the place a higher class. also it can hide the taste of impurites such as chlorine.

most of them do.. EVERYONE DONT put lemon in your water from restaurants!!! they have lodes of bacteria that can make you sick!!!!!!!

Decoration...... & gives the water a very slight taint of lemon flavour.
If you don't like lemon in your water, ask them to omit it.

Some restaurants actually charge you for plain water. Adding lemon makes them feel more justified for charging money. Like some mineral water manufacturers who put artificial lemon, peach, strawberry etc flavors into their water, what's the point???
