I believe chicken soup is a great healer. Made with carrots, celery, onion, small potato and parsley. The liquid loosens congestion. The vegetables give you nutrients and if something is wrong with you stomach, at least your getting liquids. For the sore throat a little salt would help. Sometimes they say to gargle with salt water for a sore throat.
cream of chicken soup is always meant to help a sore throat or cold
Warm soup, like chicken noodle, chicken and rice.
Tea with honey and/or lemon, crackers, jello,if you have a fever drink clear fluids, stay away from dairy, and heavy meat such as beef.
try some nice hot soup..that should help your throat!
Comfort foods are great just to make people feel better (plus they don't have to fuss about cooking!)...chicken soup is a popular one, but even pot roast, beef stew, and mashed potatoes are good. Those meals are also healthy and have protein to help the person's body heal faster.
For a sore throat, something that goes down smooth is soothing. I personally like to eat yogurt because it coats my throat and gets rid of the irritation temporarily.
Chicken soup is great like others have said. (Also spray your nose with a saline mist to help get the juices running. Cloraseptic is awesome b/c it numbs the throat. For more food, my husband swears by hot and sour soup at your local chinese restaurant. Not only will the sooth your throat, it will clear the sinuses.
If it is in the early stages try some AirBorne. It's loaded with vitamins.
Feel better.
stew
Chicken Noodle Soup
Veg. Soup
for a sore throat I would recomend hot tea (regular, mint, or raspberry). Adding honey to the tea instead of sugar is better for you, and still tastes great.
