Something nice to eat when your ill?!
Answers: ive got bronchitis real bad chest infection,but i havent eaten propley for about a week,im starving but can you think of something i can cook which will be quite tasty and nourishing,please dont say soup,i had a cup/soup and it made me feel sick
How about a grilled cheese sandwich?? Maybe put some bacon on it and use pepper jack cheeses. Yum! And maybe a side of tomato soup if youre not TOO sick of soup.
sorry honey, your best bet is soup.
you could try eating crackers that might work or just a simple sandwhich avoid anything with milk in it for that will just make you feel worse
Soft boiled or lightly scrambled eggs.
Yogurt.
Cottage cheese.

yeah, i have to agree...solids are hard to digest when you are ill. chicken soup stimulates the mucous membranes and helps with congestion and healing. I understand how you feel as I have it too.... you can add rice or something but you want things that will digest easily. Sorry.
Well Bananas are easy on the tummy and very tasty! Rice, toast, crackers and soup are about all I can help you with...stay away from dairy if your stomach is getting upset...dairy doesn't sit well on a upset tummy.
what about jelly and ice cream?? risotto is easy to cook and because its kinda stodgy it would be easy to swallow.
make 2 litres of stock from cubes
dice onions, mushrooms and a chicken breast
in a pan add 10 - 15 mls oil and 1 cup of risotto rice. cook on a medium heat for 3 mins. add a ladle of stock and mushrooms, onions and chicken. stir constantly over a med - high heat until stock has just reduced, add another ladle repeat process until you have gooey rice in a thick sauce (all the stock should be pretty much absorbed) add some frozen baby peas and a some grated red cheddar. stir in until melted and peas are cooked ( 2mins). serve. enjoy. yum

what about a baked potato or a chicken casserole?
try scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, yogurt grilled cheese sandwich, fried egg sandwich, drink apple juice, v8 juice, ginger ale , tea...
when I am ill I love thinish instant mashed potatos and canned gravy. Not something I normally have but when im sick it hits the spot. Toast is good too.
Eat crackers mashed potatoes green beans i have had that and so has my friend Hayley who won't stop tickling me
the best thing is the traditional BRAT diet that parents use on little kids. Easy to digest and won't lay of your stomach.

Go easy on the grease for digestion purposes and the milk products will produce more phlegm.
Drinking sweet tea with make you feel better. but Gatorade is great at replacing the electrolytes and will keep you hydrated. Gatorade will take away the achy feeling caused by dehydration.
