Read the books by Euell Gibbons

He was into eating food gathered in the wild and foraging.

I remember a Post's Grape Nuts commercial where his tagline was "Ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible."

He sounds like the person that relates directly to your question.

i've not heard of this diet before, but from what you've described it doesn't sound to healthy or nutritious! What about carbohydrates? and meat? i imagine this diet is quite similar to a vegetarian diet? except im not sure there many vegetable that grow on tree!

I'm not sure how healthy the diet is but mushrooms grow at the bottom of trees would they count? There are a lot of health benefits from eating nuts and the such. I was always told to eat four walnuts a week and it lowers cholesterol, which a problem in our family. I told my nan who suffers from high cholesterol and she tried and funnily enough it did go down.
