Ouch! I am so sorry to hear that you have to go through that! I broke my jaw on both sides when I was 15, so I know what you're going through-sort of.
You could probably do split pea soup. Or butternut squash soup. Mashed potatoes would be easy, and so would polenta. You could probably get away with fish sticks and fries or tater tots, as they are easy to chew. Baked winter squash, spanish rice, steamed broccoli or cauliflower. Wow, I don't think it will be as hard as you think if you can handle little pieces. Especially if you have a blender and/ or a food processor. Of course, my treat would be a shake. Or a yummy fruit smoothie from Jamba Juice.
Yogurt
Make a smoothie with lots of fruit in it and you'll be just fine. If you don't have any fruit, go to Jamba Juice
soup,bend fruits
soup
Stay away from meat, it taste freaking gross through a straw. Besides Bacon bits. Fruits are always good. salad is OK, just tastes like cole slaw. Now Mac n Cheese was awesome. (I had surgery on my Jaw) Also give Spaghetti a try man...all these blended of course.
Smoothies! Just blend fruit with some plain yogurt. You get good nutrition and protein.
If you have a juicer, make some apple/carrot juice. If you use sweet apples, it is actually way tastier than it sounds.
soup
yogurt
naked fruit juices (a pound of fruit per bottle)
possibly mashed potatoes
olive oil (I know it sounds gross)
smoothie
and ALL LIQUIDS
Weird but try it.
pickles i call them pickle worms last year when i was 13 me and my best friend Hayley stuck a straw through a pickle and i said, "hey it looks like a worm!" and ever since then i we have eaten pickle worms when she comes over
How about chicken soup. If it is a wide enough straw, you may be able to get rice through it. I love chicken and rice soup.
Shakes. Milkshakes have some nutrition and you can get those protien/nutrition shakes for more vitamins, ect. Soup and mashed potatoes are good, although you might want to skip the straw and spoon small bites into your mouth instead. Bread and rolls are soft and can be torn into small pieces. Oatmeal is soft too.
