Where have you eaten the best mashed potatoes?!
Answers: I love mashed potatoes.
My husband makes the best mashed potatoes I have ever had in my 35 years. Potatoes are my favorite comfort food, and I can't go a week without them-especially mashed. While they are NOT low cal fare, they are the best, and I get him to make them at least once a month. They are loaded with cheese, sour cream, real bacon bits, green onions, milk, butter, and garlic. Definitely the week's "cheat" dish, but OOOOHHHHHH so worth it!
The one I cook. I have 3 different recipes.

We went to an amish home where they made a meal for you and the mashed potatoes were the best I'd ever ate.
2004-Emeril's Delmonico steakhouse in Las Vegas. Garlic Smashed potatoes. I would kill for another order of them along with a $45 prime rib steak. The whole lunch for two people including dessert was $300.00 and it was worth EVERY penny for the food and the service.
Somewhere in Indiana. We stopped at an Amish-run restaurant where they had "home cooking".
Those were mashed potatoes! Freshness really counts

Potatoes in Ireland seem to taste a lot nicer for some bizzare reason. Can never get a potato where I live in the US or in Aus that can match them.
On a vacation to Panama, a italian chef made the best mashed potatoes i have ever tasted!
