What is the best way to heat up chinese from the night before ?!
Answers: Can someone tell me the best and Safe way to heat up chinese food from the night before ? its Beef Curry , Cheers
Use a pan or a wok - not a microwave, as it will still retain its flavour. But if I were you, I wouldn't heat up Chinese - it taste a lot better fresh.
I heat it in the microwave. I don't get it too hot, because that cooks it more and makes it taste icky. I just want to warm it through. I think if it was stored properly, it's perfectly safe to do so. I have never gotten sick from that.
I still want to know myself. Whenever I do this in the microwave, oven or pan I always end up getting violently ill. I'm not sure why. But I know other people who do this and don't get sick....I don't know why.
in a pan on the stove or in the microwave. have you never heated anything up before? or have you always just eaten your take away leftovers cold?
well you could microwave but i wouldnt bother cold is just as great.
I would just microwave it, but not on High, since that would make it more likely to splatter all over the inside of the microwave.
I always heat mine up on individual dishes in the microwave. I put a few drops of water on the rice and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Then do the same with the other items.
If you have the time heat in a baking dish in your oven. Other wise the microwave will be fine in a pinch.
1) microwave it for a couple of minutes, or
2) cook it in a saucepan or stir fry with a bit of water until it boils, stir thoroughly
not only will the procedure kill anything that's living in it, you also got sauce!
microwave with lil water so its doesnt dry out
You shouldn't, mainly because of the rice, left over chinese meals are a source of bacteria. Cold rice should never be reheated. I can testify from experience. I was poisoned with campylobacter from a dodgy chinese meal. It was the most unpleasant experience of my life, I was violently ill. I will never frequent my local chinese restaurant ever again.
I usually put most things in my oven, except for rice and things like that, which I heat up in a small pan on the stove for a few minutes.
heat in microwave for 2-3 minutes depending on quantity till its piping hot
DON'T unless food poisoning is your idea of a good time!
Microwave,- that's the way I've been doing mine for years--
No problems!
Spray the food lightly with water and heat it in the microwave a minute at a time at 30% power. that way it will cook evenly.
