Slightly crispy, salt and vinegar. Simple is best, yummy.
Maybe a bit of ketchup.
cut in sticks and fried. malt vinegar on the top. mmmmmmmmmm.
twice fried
I prefer wedges baked in the oven, I cut chunky wedges, put them in a bowl and drizzle them with oil and herbs, swirl the bowl around so the tatties are all covered in a little oil, then I bake them for about 35 minutes til cooked.
Chunky home made chips
I buy a bag of frozen chips from the supermarket and shove 'em in the oven. Can't be botherd titting about with peeling and chopping and frying! Just want 'em cooked so I can shove 'em down me neck between two fat slices of white bread smothered in mayo. Chip heaven!
I make them by going thru the drive-thru at Mickey D's...
A good potato, like Maris Piper, cut into approximately 1/2" square slices.
got to be maris piper spuds, cut thick and fry for four minutes, drain off and leave for half hour then fry again they will be lovely and crispy and fluffy potato in the middle, chips, done.
proper spuds peeled using a knife the old fashioned way.... cut length ways and deep fried the old fashioned way in a traditional frying pan in proper veg oil... add salt and vinegar and some bread and butter..... stack the chips and enjoy a good chip butty!!! frozen chips just don't do it
