What is the best way to slice a pineapple?!
Answers: Pineapple is my favorite fruit! If you have a whole pineapple you're going to want to slice the "skin", outside prickles, off. Then I think it's best to either slice the pineapple horizontally in rather thin slices all the way down or slice in large horizontal slices then cut vertically so they'll be kind of "triangles". I guess it depends on how you want to eat or serve them!
With a knife
split in half down the middle from top to bottom then cut off the leaves and quarter it, take the core out
horizontally into rings.
I think making rings is best.
With a knife. In half. Then cut out of the rin. Then cut in rings or squares. Yummy.
With a jig saw
I cut off the top and the bottom first and then I take off the sides.
Then, I cut around the core.
with a sharp knife
cut off the top, use a pineapple corer to take out the core, cut horizontally, slice vertically. Yummmm!
Cut the top and bottom off First, them right down the center.cut in till you get the size you want.
Cut off the top and the bottom them peel with a knife. Then one i've done all that i get a fork stick it in it on its side then slice. It stops it from sliding everywhere. :)
They actuallly make pineapple cutters that cut out the middle and all the outside edges. If you can't get one of those, cut all the outside off and cut down the center and cut the core out then just chop or cut however.
Lakeland (Windermere) have a gadget that peels and cores the pineapple all you have to do is slice it into rinngs/cubes
Peel it rub it with salt makes it so much sweeter and slice horizontally
Remove top and tail. slice horizontally to make four segments, remove the core sections from along the ridge tops of each. Cut between fruit and skin and then into chunks that would fit happily onto a fork. Serve as melon boats. Enjoy.

You peel the outside first then slice it and the round slices you can section into quarters or halves. That makes it eaisier to cut the core out. Or you can buy a pineapple corer, they are available at kitchen or home stores.
The best way to slice a pineapple is the following Selecting: Whole or cut, choose pineapple that is firm and smells sweet, and store it in the refrigerator. The fruit ripens on the plant and will not ripen further after it has been picked. A whole pineapple can easily last a couple of weeks.
To peel a pineapple: Slice off its top and bottom. Set the pineapple upright and cut the shell away from the flesh with downward slices. Then cut the flesh into long quarters and carve out the hard core. A 4 pound pineapple should yield about seven cups bite-size cubes.
Good luck x
