Why doesnt milk get bad when heated?!

Question: if its left at room temperature it will go bad, but why not if heated?

Answers: if its left at room temperature it will go bad, but why not if heated?

because when you heat it, it is warmed up really fast as compared to gradual warming if you leave it on a table

Pasteurization, which I assume you are referring to, keeps milk from going bad by killing all of the bacteria which would normally cause it to.

Because when you heat it on the stove you are heating it too rapidly for bacteria to grow.

None of these answers are correct, the bacteria that grow in milk grow because of time and temperature abuse, if left in a certain temperature range for an extended period of time bacteria will grow. Also, when you heat it up in a microwave or on the stove top, the temperature reaches a point that actually kills the bacteria. for more information, there are websites you can look at, I got my certification from ServSafe and the state of Illinois, so maybe they have more info.
