How long can i keep fruit puree in the fridge??!
Answers: last night i made three pots of fruit puree for my 8 month old son, the puree consits of 2 oranges 2 bananas and 2 kiwis, they are in sealed plastic pots, but iam not quite sure how long i can keep them in the fridge for, or would it be best to freeze some of the pots??
if you have it yourself ild say about 3 days as there are no artifitual preservitives added but you can freeze it not a problem but some friuts will turn quicker than others hard fruits such as apples/pears will last longer than soft fruits bananas/passion fruits berries will not last long in fridge either
If you put bananas in the puree, it'll turn brown. It's best to be eaten within a week.
you can keep them in the fridge for about five days. its best to freeze them though and defrost them when you know you are going to use them. once a fruit is cut open it starts to lose its goodness so the only real way to prevent this is to freeze it. hope this helps.
