I found some foreign object in my breakfast cereal, who do I contact about it? CEREAL CO.? MEDIA? GOVT.?!

Question: Its a bit of plastic strapping in a piece of organic shredded wheat cereal. I've saved it,just as I found it, hanging out of a piece of cereal.. Maybe it isn't very dangerous, but it's gross!

contact the company via email. Phone they can deny you every talked and mail they can say that they never received it. Email at least you have a record.
Do not send the plastic stripping- instead send a picture of it. That way you can keep records of it if the company turns out to be unapologetic. Then turn to the media!
OR if you want to cause a huge stir right off the bat then email the company and cc local media on it. Include the picture as an attachment.
BTW, what is the company? I eat a ton of different types of organic cereal and some I give to my toddler so I want to know if the cereal i am giving my family poses a risk....

contact the cereal company. in most cases, they will want you to save the foreign material, send you a replacement and maybe coupons for free items

The A-Team.

I once found a piece of a broom straw in a gummy worm and I mailed it to the company with a note enclosed and they sent me a case of them for free.

Contact the cereal company. It's their factory, so they are responsible for it. There should be a number you can contact them on the back, near the bottom. That is really disgusting!

the cereal company, but if they dont take action id call the media

Not Kashi I hope! Love the shreds.

FOOD &drug administration? NOT

I like the email and picture then media method

I once found a chunk of cardboard with foreign script in a jar of Trader Joe's Organic curry and they gave me a $10 card, but it expired before I was willing to shop there again. (Didn't know it expiered or had a fee that ate it up.)

I really did not think it made me feel better anyhow. Certainly wouldn't want a case of the offending food! (unless it is Kashi cinnamon shredded)

contact a lawyer. they will sue for you as this has caused you harm and misery, not to mention a life threatening situation.
my husbands family are all attorneys, they love to chase situations like this, just let me know if you need their number.'
I'm sure they can assist you. hehehehahaha.
