What beverage to have with a candy bar?!

Question: I've saved myself a treat for doing a lot of chores today - two loads of laundry, dishes, cleaning bathroom and kitchen, including mopping the floors. But, I can't decide what beverage I should have to go with it - here's what I have to drink:

1. Milk
2. Hot chocolate
3. Cranapple cider
4. Green or Oolong tea
5. Grape soda

Which would you choose - best answer will have an explanation of why the beverage will go well with the chocolate candy bar.

I would go with the Cranapple cider. The tartness of the drink will offset the sweetness of the chocolate. Milk or hot chocolate would just make everything that much sweeter. So would grape soda. Tea is good, but not with candy. I don't know why, it just doesn't seem right. By the way good for you. I keep putting off the mopping forever, or until my folks come for a visit.

hot chocolate!
can't go wrong with double the chocolate

I wouldn't go with the hot chocolate, mainly because chocolate tends to make you even more thirsty.
The main reason you are having a beverage is for refreshment, right? At least that's the case most of the time.

I'd go with milk, it's refreshing and in my opinion, it goes perfect with chocolate!!

Hello

1.Grape Soda is best for Freshness Digestion.
2.Lemon Juice/Orange/Pine apple Juice also best

I would have hot milk with my chocolate bar. The hot chocolate would be a second choice but the two chocolates might not be good together.

Hot milk helps you to relax and gets you ready to fall asleep. It also has a slight sweetness that would bring out the taste of the chocolate in the bar. All of the other choices have too strong a flavour and would fight with the chocolate bar to be the dominant taste

Is it plain milk chocolate?

In that case, I would go with the grape soda.
The fruitiness contrasts the rich chocolate very well, and the bubbles give it the satisfactory quality.

If it's dark chocolate, though, I would recommend something hot. Probably the cider or green tea. Because you have to suck on the dark chocolate, and the hotness...yeah. It would just be good.

i would go with milk because chocolate goes well washed down with some milk, also, on a healthy note, since the candy bar is so high in sugar, the protein in the milk will slow down the digestion process so you don't crash after the sugar spike goes away, so enjoy (or hope you enjoyed) your well deserved treat
