Is there any way to make homemade waffels?!

Question: In order to make homemade waffles you need a waffle griddle. Which isnt too expensive. Just make the batter and let them cook in the griddle =)

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 cups milk (whole or 2 percent, depending on preference)
2 eggs, separated
1 Tbs. butter, melted

Preparation:

1. Pre-heat waffle-maker and oil grates lightly with salad oil.

2. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.

3. Separate the two eggs, then add egg yolks, milk and the melted butter to the dry ingredients and beat together thoroughly.

4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.

5. Stir in about 1/4 of the whites into the batter and then fold in the remaining whites using a gentle folding method.

6. Pour 1 cup of batter onto lower grates and close the lid and cook for about 1 1/2 minutes.

7. Remove waffle and top with whipped butter and warm maple syrup or your favorite topping.

Yield: 12 waffles.

Buttermilk Waffles

2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, separated
1-3/4 cups buttermilk
4 T. melted butter.
Preparation -
Mix the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl or batter bowl; set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they just start to hold a peak...do not beat until stiff. Whisk egg yolks with buttermilk and melted butter. Gradually whisk this mixture into the dry ingredients mixture. Do not beat. The batter should still have some small lumps of flour which will disappear as the waffles bake. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites... the batter will be thick. Use a spatula to gently push the batter from the bowl or pitcher onto a preheated waffle maker. Bake according to waffle maker manufacturer's directions. Serve piping hot with butter and syrup, jam, jelly, or your favorite fruit topping.

get a wafflemaker

I just use Bisquick and follow the directions. Electric waffle maker and some cherry jam and I'm set.
