Food left out at night?!

Question: My husband made some neck bones with carrots, butter beans, mushrooms, and spinach last night around 8 p.m. After cooking it he left it sit to cool before putting it in the fridge. Welt it never made it to the fridge and stayed out on the stove all night, because he fell asleep. I told him that it was probably no good and to throw it away. He wanted me to ask and see if anyone would know can it still be eaten or will we get sick. It is now 10:30 a.m. were we live.

if it was just meat and veggies and beans you will be fine. as long as there was no dairy or egg you are good

you will probably be ok if it was covered

NO CAN DO!!!! Bacteria sets in in the meat & mushrooms. If the Veggies touches any part of it then it is contaminated too.
Take it from me I have gotten food posioning 3 times from Resturants where the food was buffet style. Lights, Heat & air is the purfect breeding grounds for bacteria. Which attach your intestines..
Unless he has an Iron Clad gut Dont do it.

of course it would be fine depending on the room temperature that the food was kept in.

long ago, country people would take the leftovers and move them to the back of the kitchen table and cover with a cloth until the next meal...and the procedure worked
BUT I would throw it away...safe rather than sorry

it will be fine
