What would you say to this?!

Question: My next door neighbor's little girl was selling girl scout cookie dough back in October. I felt obliagatied to buy some even though I did'nt have the room in the freezer to put it. They were $12 each and I bought 2. She had said that the cookie-dough would be here for Thanksgiving. Well it's now March and I had asked her Mom about it and she just blew it off. Now I'm out $24. Should I just chalk it up and say forget about it?

Find out who her Scout Leader is and speak with her and I hope you got a reciept.

no - call the cops...

well, no I would politely ask her mom again and if she doesn't a convincing answer. I'll ask her for my $24 back.

i would just forget about it...but dont ever buy anything from those stupid ppl and dont trust them...

Take her to small claims court. It will cost you more than $24, though.

Another option: Next time you see the little girl or her Mom... spit on them.

I think you should ask the mom and let her know that you had no problem supporting her daughter and would like to continue to do so "even if you dont it sounds good" but I paid for a produce that i have yet to receive and frankly you dont appreciate it!!!

I agree you should find out who the scout leader is from the mom (politely of course) and you should definitely have a receipt, if you don't you might as well give up, just do like me, when this type of thing happens to me, it only happens once, and I never buy from that person/store/restaurant/whatever again after that.

This will destroy neighborhood harmony, and I say GO FOR IT!!! Report it to the girl scout council. You don't need neighbors like that!! One thing that happened to me years ago, when I was a campfire leader, a girl took girl took cookies and ate them , the CF council was of no help, so I kicked her out of the group.Actually I had something else with a neighbor kid stealing from our yard and I did nothing and lived to regret it.

~ I would call the local Girl Scout Organization,,,let them know when you placed your order, when you expected it, and the troop number that you ordered it from. If for some reason this little girl and her mother scammed you, well this little girl is not learning the meaning and value of being a Girl Scout. I would call the organization if it were me.
