What spices should I keep on hand?!
Sea salt
A pepper grinder with fresh peppercorns
garlic powder (I also always have fresh garlic on hand)
Sylvia's soulful seasoning salt. It's awesome on chicken and veggies. Cook with it, don't just sprinkle it on at the end.
dried toasted onion flakes
oregano
thyme
rosemary
basil
tarragon
ground cumin
chili powder
cajun seasoning
Answers: It really depends on what type of cooking you usually do. Here's my "must have" list, but some of them are for southwestern flavors. If you never cook southwestern, then yu can skip them.
