For the two of us, we spend between £70-£90 pw on food. We use two outlets, Sainsbury for the bulk and Iceland for the rest. Sometimes we also shop for food at our local street market where prices are usually very much cheaper than any supermarket ever will be - like two soccer ball sized iceberg lettuce for £1.
Food prices are continuing on up here in UK. There are lots of reasons for this, don't want to bore you with all of that.
If you have any land, even a small garden, you might like to consider growing some vegetables of your own.
If you don't have a garden, say 50 feet or more, you can grow stuff in grow=bags, tomatos, lettuce, herbs etc.
How longs a piece of string!!

One adult, myself, around £15 excluding alcohol purchased at the supermarket (I mention alcoholic drinks specifically because a significant amount of that £15 is milk, about £8 of it generally). I class milk as food as that is what it is produced by cows originally as to feed their offspring.
So about £7 on solid food you can get your teeth into per week. I only have one real meal a day, unless I feel hungry when I will have another. I eat when I feel hungry rather than because it is mealtime. Contrary to what some would think, I am pretty much my ideal weight by eating like this.
I am likely to be downrated for suggesting this, but eating when (and ONLY when) your body wants you to is the best diet. You will never be anorexic because you do eat when hungry as your body was designed for, and are unlikely to be overweight because provided you eat sensibly when you do eat, eating a sensible meal when hungry including sufficient nutrients (vitamins and minerals) will cover all your requirements comfortably. Eating to a timetable is the main cause of obesity in modern society, eat when you are hungry and obesity will be a non-issue.
I live somewhere else but it comes nearly 50 to 60 dollars
We are two adults sharing a property.
No kids No freezer, I buy fresh food every day - making everything myself from scratch.
Pizzas pies, chips curries or lasagne. Everything is tip top.
My average payout is between 50 and £70 per week.As things are going, I can see a definite rise in food prices. Especially dairy products........it is scandalous what we pay for our food and I hate Tesco.
I like to shop in "individual shops" ...the good old fashioned way.!
Between £35- £40 two adults
Me & my husband would spend £65 - £85 a week. But I buy what tastes good & no frozen food.
2 adults only in my household and we spend about 50€ on grocery food per week here in France. Equals to £35 per week. Cheap , isn't it but then France is cheaper than Britain.
2 of us, average £80 week,
We are also a family of 4 (2 children) and spend approx £100 per week on groceries.
That is also including cleaning products etc.
