My frozen beef patty, had a dark spot on it, what could that be ?!

Question: Usually they are all red, but when taking it out of the microwave, to thaw it out before grilling it on the stove top.

I noticed a dark spot ( kind of black ) on 1 of the ground beef patties. I was going to throw it out, but I figured it's kind of common for meats to have discoloration.

I just never came up with a logical explanation in my mind, of how or why some meat like my beef patty had a dark spot on it.

I know grilling it, well done ... killed any mold, or germ, If that's what it was, so yeah ... I ate that sucker. ( hahaha )

But back to the point of my question ....

My frozen beef patty, had a dark spot on it, what could that be ?

I think that is caused by bacteria on the equipment or hands of the manufacturer.
Fry the cr** out of it and it should be OK.
