I love Alton Brown. Partial because of his weird sense of humor and mostly because I love that he talks about the history of the foods and even some of the cooking tools he is using.
His show is always a surprise!
Alton Brown is great. He makes cooking fun and entertaining. He always makes me laugh...such a goof. I like how in depth he goes into his cooking/baking. He provides tons of information. His show reaches out to the general public, and makes them want to cook something special. He does not just cook, but informs! Love it.
I like all the food network chefs ,but my favorite is Tyler Florence.
Alton Brown is my all time favorite! Paula Deen, Iron Chef, Robert Irvine, Guy Fieri rocks, the Neely's are funny. I watch food network every day.
Paula Dean---she cracks me up. Even her "light" recipies include mayonaise.
I have a few favorites. I like Emeril, Paula Deen, and Bobby Flay. I also like to watch Rachael Ray. I watch the food network all the time. I get a lot of new ideas from there.
Mario Batali was amazing, informative, and authentic...he truly is someone who has learned his craft with great enthusiasm and is one of the few who really pass this along on their shows.
Alton Brown (whom I have met) is also someone who approaches food with great thought and is truly an educator. I have studied for years and years and still am able to derive great knowledge from his shows.
I also enjoyed a visit with Michael Chiarrello who also came to the school where I taught, while not quite the educator (which I think makes a good celebrity chef) he still does have a few things which have inspired me in the kitchen. (And ladies, he is even MORE handsome in person than on TV!)
I LOVE Alton Brown. His recipes are useful and I like knowing why something is happening. Also I really enjoy his equipment bits its nice to know what to use to get the job done.
His show reminds me of Americas Test Kitchen which is one of my favorite shows.
