What exactly is in most cities tap water?!

Question: Despite the environmental concerns of drinking water shipped from all over the place I enjoy drinking Fiji, Evian, and Crystal Geyser and have tried practically all of them and like these the best. Even though some brands like Arrowhead or Mt. Olympus taste worst than tap water I have my favorites like people have favorite soda pop or beer varieties. Going back and drinking tap water when I have been drinking these for awhile it tastes awful. Besides chlorine, floride (in most places) and low levels of arsenic what else is in tap water?

the biggest thing that is in the tap water that effects its taste and healthiness is the iron, as well as other metals. The natural element iron that is in the water, as well as the iron brought with it from the pipes. That is what britta water filters filter out. The have elements that remove the metal within the water.
The main reason it taste bad is because you've been spoiled by priced water that has been fitrated and cleaned, not that thats a bad thing, its just you find your self unconciously comparing them.
it could also be where you get the water from, some times underground well don't have the best flavor. lol
i like my tap water...

Every water system in the country is required by law to provide this, call your local city, county or municipal water system and ask for a copy of their most recent testing.
I really don't stress about it.
