Do you think this is safe to eat?!

Question: I found an unopened bottle of thousand island dressing in my pantry that says, "Best if used by June 11, 2005." Its unopened, though. It looks good! What do you think?

I wouldn't. Even if that date is the "best if sold by" date, I wouldn't trust it.

That far expired I wouldn't try it. A couple months I might give it a shot, but years I would have to say toss it and don't risk it.

no, if its expired then its not usable, speciallly if it expired 3 years ago!!!!! my advice, go spend a couple of bucks on some ranch that hasn't expired!!!!

dont!!! theres a date for a reason

Don't do it! I'm recovering from a nasty bout of food poisoning. Save yourself the pain and inconvenience and go out and buy a new bottle.

No, dont eat it. I'm not a doctor, but you could get sick.

I reckon it would be ok, sniff it and try a small bit first, OR sling it in the bin and buy a new one>

Dont!!!!! Theres an experation date for a reason. I've suffered food poisioning before,Not fun. Save your self the trouble and go spend a few bucks on a new bottle of dressing.

An old cook's saying: When in doubt, throw it out.

With the ingredients that are in thousand island dressing like mayo or salad dressing, pitch it.

I would not eat it, not when it is that far expired. Especially creamy dressing!
