In fact, Is coffee bad or good to our health?!
Most things have good and bad properties.
Think about cigarettes, with all their health risks, they still reduce stress in people which can create a lot of positives.
Caffinee makes your heart beat faster, many of the results (positive and negative) result from that effect.
Another thing coffee has is anti-oxidents which may help prevent these things. But is coffee the only way to get a dose of anti-oxidents? Certainly not, there are many ways to get anti-oxidents without caffinee.
Some studies have suggested that coffee can help reduce the risks of alhimerz, type 2 diabetes, and Parkinsons.
Coffee, as steeped in our culture as it has has a lot more negatives then people realise.
For starters caffinee is addictive. Most people start using that cup of coffee to get them going in the morning, but soon realise they MUST have it to get them going in the morning. Then it doesn't work as well as they thought, now they drink 2,3, or even 4 cups of coffee each morning.
Studies also suggest that drinking coffee may interfere with your body's ability to keep homocysteine and cholesterol levels in check, most likely by inhibiting the action of the vitamins folate, B12 or B6. Coffee has been associated with increased risk of stroke and rheumatoid arthritis. Studies have also shown that caffeine in coffee can raise blood pressure and levels of stress hormones, and if consumed in large quantities it can lead to heart palpitations, jitters and nervousness and increase acid production in the stomach.
During pregnancy and in infants the half-life of caffeine is increased, which means that it will stay in your body, and your infant's body, longer. Moreover, fetuses have no ability to detoxify caffeine.
Research suggests that drinking more than 300 mg of coffee daily, or the equivalent of two to three 8-ounce cups, may increase the risk of miscarriage, birth defects such as cleft palate and low birth weight.
Some studies have even shown similar sympotoms in infants born from mothers who frequently drank coffee during pregnancy and infants from mothers who abused drugs such extreme sensitivity to light and sound and premature birth.
Health notes aside, a percentage of coffee is actually harvested by children some of whom are even slaves. In the Central American coffee producing countries, recent statistics show that 52% of Latin American inhabitants are under the age of 18. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, more children work in agriculture around the world than any other economic sector. The prevalence of children of coffee farms is significant. Children farmers in 3rd world countries work on the farms instead of attending school like other children, they are also exposed to dangerous chemical fertilizers and pesticides that have been banned in the US.
Child sometimes are sold or captured as slaves to work on these farms, kept in very low conditions. Slaves have no rights, and are frequently subjected to brutal treatment and sub-human living conditions. Bonded labor or debt labor is a form of forced labor in which children enter into servitude as a result of some initial financial transaction. Parents assume their children will be able to repay the debt out of future earnings, but a combination of low wages and high interest rates many times make repayment impossible
It is up to everyone to decide if the risks outweight the benifits for anything, but personally I choose to avoid coffee except as an occasional special treat.
Answers: Studies are a complicated thing. Studies, can, actually be manipulated to show any effects one wants. It is hard to determine what information is good information, who is supporting the studies, and how solid the results the studies produced. these all must be considered.

anything addictive is bad!
too much coffee is bad for your health, they say if you like to drink it, switch to decaf. after 3 pm.
way bad!
Its bad for your stomach. Coffee can aggravate conditions like GERD/acid reflux.
Everything in moderation.
bad coz it makes your teeth go brown ewwww
It's good in moderation, but bad if you drink too much. Any hot beverage helps clean out the toxins in your body. A little caffeine, like one mug of coffee, boosts your metabolism. A lot of coffee has negative effects, as people listed above.
There are good things and bad things about it. So many in fact you should check out some links I included. Some have good health properties, some bad.
The only thing I would stay away from is the coffee from places that include artifical and natural flavors and food coloring. Those ways are used to make coffee cheap by useing fake chemicals from a lab. They harm customers health.
(note: natural flavors are more harmful then artifical and are referring to the way the chemcials are made, no natural stuff actually in it, they are used in marketing because when someone sees the word natural they think it's good)
its both good and bad.
bad-addictive ect
sends your blood sugar up,only to come crashing down, that the bad bit.
good-antioxidants.
