My mom cant cook.....?!

Question: she suckss at it....

Answers: she suckss at it....

my aunt cant cook to save her life, so do what we did when we were living together, eat fast food. it works, and theres no mess to clean up afterwards.

Well.its easy just turn on the TV or buy her some good magazinesfor cooking smart

Teach her.

Do it yourself.

Buy her a few cookbooks with simple recipies.

Or cook the food yourself and stop complaining.

Try to find out why.. is her cooking suck because she doesn't time? or because she just suck at it..

Buy a cooking book, there's so many out there with recipes that needs like 5-6 ingredients and takes 10 mins to cook. Look online for recipes..

Have you ever offered to help her cook something and maybe throw some ideas out to make it better? Something like, "Hey mom, you wanna try adding _______ to this? Let's give it a try and see how it turns out." That way you can help make the dish better without coming right out ans saying, Hey mom, you can't cook.

Maybe you should try your hand at it. For years, I cooked and hated it,,,,then one day my DH was watching the food network and decided to make gumbo..it was really good,,,then he tried chili from Bobby Flay on the food network.....then he made hot tamales from a recipe book...Turns out he loves to cook and is good at it...

So why not try your hand at it, if you Mom will let you..you might be good at it and really like it and I'll bet your Mom wouldn't mind at all if you learn how. She probably is like me,,,,,cooks because she has too. We don't usually do things well, we don't like to do.
Or maybe you could get her a basic cookbook or download a few recipes off the internet for her to try. Just don't insult her cooking for Pete's sake. She may not know she sucks at it..LOL

get her a easy cooking book
ask friends moms who are good cooks for recipies
learn to cook yourself

I am sad to hear you feel that way, it is hard for a mother who has not been taught to cook, to try and cook for someone and then feel that no one likes or appreciates it.
I know, I was one of those young mothers. But if you really want to help her. This is what I did for my daughter that you can do for your mother. Find 10 simple recipes that everyone would like the ingrediences. Making a mini recipe box with them. Help her to make them, until they become easy to fix. This will limit the overwhelming feeling she must feel. With 10 recipes it is easy to mix them so often you don't get tired of them. Help you mom and in the process, you will learn to cook, for when you have a family. I have included a wonderful link to help you do this with your mom! happy cooking!
