Question: I want to make spaghetti sauce with ground turkey. Can I put the raw meat into the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients or should I brown it first?

Either will work, the question is which is most important .Convenience or flavor , browned meat will have a deeper flavor.

If I am in a rush, I just throw it in and it will work. You will get a better flavor if you brown first however.

No, brown it first.

You should brown it first.

I personally like to brown it first and drain some of the fat. I'm sure you can put the raw meat in the slow cooker as long as you break it up into small chunks.

no you should brown it first

yes you can and heres one recipe Ive used many times for the crockpot.Good luck

I would brown it first!!!

I am 99 percent sure you are supposed to brown it first. That is what i do. Browning it, gets all the fat out of the meat
